童聞吉:熟悉真題整理詞匯

三月口譯考試即將來臨，同學們在備考階段最有效的學習提高方式無疑是進一步熟悉真題。就中級口譯聽力考試而言，從題型上分為Spot dictation, Statements, Talks and Conversations和Listening Translation。不少同學在練習時，覺得不知哪些是核心詞匯，該如何整理。我們就從Statements題型中，來看一下Career話題的詞匯。

例如，以下均是從往年真題中的Statements:

[0603 1] Up to now, none of the candidates who applied for the position has the required credentials. We’d better let our ad in the Help-Wanted Section run for more weeks.

在練習statements時，同學們往往“做過就放”，往往錯漏了其中的核心詞匯。Candidate表示候選人，同義詞匯如applicant/interviewee，可以一起記憶。Position表示職位，和post/appointment一起記憶。在這次0909的句子聽譯的第二句：

We had only expected around 20 people to apply for that post, but twice as many showed up, so we had to work overnight for the arrangement of interviews.

同樣出現apply for，表示申請職位，同樣是面試場景。因而，對真題statements和sentence translation出現的類似場景，可整理學習，定有不少收獲。
