這一句不能翻作：真是你的恥辱！若要表達此意，應該說：Shame on you!
在英語里，有不少常用詞語，他們的含義往往不是其字面意思，對于這類詞語，我們要加倍注意。在學習過程中，要注意積累，各個擊破！

他的話使我毛骨悚然。
Tell that to the marines.

讓我們交換一下意見吧。
--‘His brother has got the sack.’ --‘You don’t say.’
“他的兄弟被開除了。” “不會吧！”
His brother doesn’t want to do that.
他兄弟不應該這么做。
That guy really knew a thing or two.
那個家伙是個見多識廣的人。
They thought that they should solve the problem for the world.
他們認為，他們無論如何也得解決這個問題。
To tell the truth, I am quite at fault.
老實說，我簡直一頭霧水，不知所云。
Out of sight, out of mind.
人走茶涼。（不是“眼不見，心不煩”）
John could not help feeling intoxicated at the thought that his newly-wed wife was expecting.
一想到他的妻子以臨近產期就欣喜若狂。
