我們中文常說"笑死了"，英文也有類似的表達方法。

I was scared to death.-害怕死了。

I was embarrassed to death.-尷尬死了。

I was worried to death.-擔心死了。

I was bored to death.-悶死了。

我在這里全用一般過去時，是因為這些句子一般用于敘述過去發生的事情。

Where have you been? -你去哪了？

能熟練地運用一般現在時以外的時態，我們才算比較熟練地掌握這種語言。

to die young 從語法的角度來分析是指人死時的狀態為年輕，意即"英年早逝"，所以這里用形容詞不用副詞來修飾die。 to die happy 是幸福地死去。 to die poor 死時兩袖清風。

Death是一個生命的結束，一個旅程的終結。對于the dead它可能是新生的開始，對于the living它可能是個悲劇。是的，in a sense，"死亡"是活著的人的悲劇。
