昂立外語【新概念培訓】分享兩個詞，wander和wonder。這兩個詞僅一個字母之差，發音也很接近。經常有人會混淆起來。
首先從發音上區別這兩個詞：
wander 英 /'wɒndə/ 美 /'wɑndɚ/
wonder 英/'wʌndə/ 美 /'wʌndɚ/
從音標上來看，wander的嘴型更圓一些，要發出/ɒ/這個音

The WON of wonder is like the words “won” or “one.”
從意思和詞性上，兩個詞也大相徑庭：
wander是動詞，意為“徘徊，漫步，游蕩”。指無目的走動、散步。是一種 physical activity 身體上的活動。
e.g. When he got bored he wandered around the fair.
煩悶時，他便在集市上四處閑逛。

wonder可作動詞和名詞。動詞意為“好奇，想知道”；名詞意為“驚奇；奇跡”。是一種mental activity心理上的活動。
e.g. I wondered what that noise was.
我想知道那噪音是什么。

*wonder how 表示“想知道怎么樣/怎么辦”
在新二課文中，派生詞wonderful也經常被使用，意為“極好的”：
