昂立外語【新概念培訓(xùn)】分享Hammer也是我們很熟悉的簡單詞匯， 新概念2冊第80課： The most wonderful piece of machinery on show was Nasmyth's steam hammer. 這里的hammer毋庸置疑，就是基本意義“錘子”。

PS: 英語中的介詞短語含義豐富， 使用頻率極高。 以上用法讓我聯(lián)想到新概念2 的56課Faster than Sound 中有的一句表達Many of the cars broke down on the course and some drivers spent more time under their cars than in them! 這里很巧妙的用under the car形象的比喻出修車時橫臥車子下方的場景。是不是和我們上述的under the hammer有異曲同工之妙呢！
