①搖動:The nurse shook the thermometer. 護士甩了一下體溫計。
②抖動(身體部位):He shook his hands to warm them up.他抖了一下雙手使他們暖和起來。
大家一定都知道shake one’s head，表示“搖頭拒絕”的意思
③(因為寒冷或害怕而)發抖，顫抖，戰栗，哆嗦:I stood there, crying and shaking with fear. 我站在那里哭，害怕地瑟瑟發抖。
n. 搖動 It is customary to welcome a visitor with a shake.習慣上大家都以握手迎接客人。
最常見的是由動詞shake hands 演變handshake，比如，在最近召開的APEC會議中，AP(美聯社)是這樣使用的：
