用作形容詞 (adj.)

My mother`s attitude was as firm as rock when I wanted her to buy me a gift.
當我想讓媽媽幫我買份禮物時，她的態度和石頭一樣堅定。
用作動詞 (v.)

The government must act to firm housing price up.

近義詞辨析：
firm, company, corporation, business, enterprise
firm指公司、商行、商號，不能用作商店的名稱;
company 公司、商號，指較為正式的公司，可以用作商店的名稱;
corporation 公司、商號，美國英語用語，與company 同義;
business指商業類公司，不能出現在公司名稱中；
