昂立外語【新概念培訓】分享的小詞cover隨處可見，新二新三都有提到，句句經典，下面大家就跟著Vanilla老師一起來回憶一下我們新概念課文中出現的cover吧！
1. 新二Lesson 5 (No wrong numbers)——The bird covered the distance in three minutes. (cover：v. 越過)
2. 新二Lesson 52 (A pretty carpet)——At the moment, they cover every inch of floor space and I actually have to walk on them to get in or out of the room. (cover：v. 覆蓋)
3. 新三Lesson 15 (Fifty pence worth of trouble)——George took off his jacket, rolled up his sleeves and pushed his right arm through the drain cover. (cover：n. 蓋子；覆蓋物)
那么說到cover，Vanilla要和大家來分享電影臺詞中出現的cover的用法~~
很受小朋友們歡迎的電影《Garfield 加菲貓》中有一句經典臺詞：
Pooky. Cover me. I'm goin' in.
波基，掩護我，我要行動了。
這句話中的cover是動詞，解釋為“掩護”。

另外，著名電影《V字仇殺隊》中有一句經典臺詞：
Artists used the lies to tell the truth, while politicians used them to cover the truth up.
藝術家用謊言道出真相，政客用謊言掩蓋真相。
這句話中的cover也是動詞，但解釋為“掩蓋”。
還有，cover作名詞還有封面的意思，所以我的第一幅插圖Cover Girls就是“封面女生”的意思，如下圖展示的就是一本書的封面：
