If you say that a person or thing deserves something, you mean that they should have it or receive it because of their actions or qualities.

1、deserve sth.
剛剛提到的哈利波特的電影的用法就是這個，該用法其實有一個更加簡單的用法：
You deserve it!（你活該）
在口語中十分常用。
More examples：
Government officials clearly deserve some of the blame as well.
政府官員們顯然也應受到某些譴責。
They deserve our praise and thanks.
他們值得我們的表揚和感謝。
2、deserve to do sth.
Examples：
These people deserve to make more than the minimum wage.
這些人應該得到高于最低工資的報酬。
He deserves to get the prize because of his excellent score.
鑒于他的高分，他應該得到這個獎。
