What does a good job mean to you?

Student as I am, I always can’t help imagining how I will be like in my future job. Now when it comes to defining a good job, I definitely believe a good job is a perfect combination of physical and mental achievement.

First and foremost, a good job should provide me with financial security. It is important especially in a metropolis like Shanghai where most people are confronted with financial pressure, a decent salary goes ahead of everything. Not only can I release the burden of my family but lead a respectable life as well.

On top of that, a good job should be the one that meets my personal interest for the reason that a good job is more than just a means of making a living. A study shows that people doing the jobs they are interested in are far more hardworking and efficient. Thus, personal interest really matters in a job.

Last but not least, a good job offers me more opportunities to meet talents from all walks of life. By communication and the exchange of ideas with some elites, I will certainly be enlightened and inspired. For instance, as a painter, my aunt often attends lectures and talks to masters so as to get inspiration and expand her social network as well. Finally, she made it possible to have her painting displayed in an art gallery. Therefore, I reckon these opportunities will pave the way for individual development in the future.

In brief, a good job should create a sense of happiness physically and mentally.
